Since establishment, TSUKAMOTO FOODS has worked to support the Japanese food culture of “washoku” by producing homemade gari (pickled ginger,) an indispensable condiment especially for sushi, while paying special attention to both the ingredients and production methods used. We primarily offer custom orders of homemade gari tailored to the needs of each establishment from seasoning to method of delivery, and our customers include a wide range of sushi restaurants and Japanese restaurants located both in Japan and overseas. TSUKAMOTO FOODS will continue to deliver products that harmonize with and enhance the many fine foods served at these restaurants.

Since establishment, TSUKAMOTO FOODS has paid special attention to both the ingredients and production methods used for our additive-free “homemade gari,” which is painstakingly made by hand by expert artisans. We are supported by many sushi restaurants, Japanese restaurants, and department stores that offer our products to diners as palate-cleansing garnishes that complement the dishes they serve.

We prepare carefully selected fresh and seasonal vegetables at the request of our customers depending on the season. Some examples include: Kyoto turnips in spring, Kamonasu (Kyoto eggplant) in summer, Ishikawa Imo (taro) and matsutake mushrooms in fall, and Kyoto-imo (taro), Ebi-imo (taro), and Kyoto carrots in winter.
